All communications between the AOur-FamilySpace Server and client machines can be protected using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption and are DCTS JITC certified. This ensures the secure delivery of data, voice, and video between the client and Our-FamilySpace.

Broadband Internet Connection Cable Modem - DSL Modem either will work. This will allow connection to the internet. This is almost always provided by the carrier. This will connect directly to the computer unless you have a router. DSL is transmitted over your phone line and Cable is transmitted over coxial. Either option will work just fine.
Router (Optional) Any brand will work Cisco linksys, D-Link, Netgear. The one illustrated is a Wireless router. Wireless routers will ports to plug in desktops and will allow users to connect with our a wire. Routers are used when there is more than one computer in the household that needs an Internet connection.
Computer A desktop computer with a Web cam and microphone. Web cam (small cameras that mount on your computer and send pictures over the Internet) can range in price from $15 to $400. We would also recommend a microphone most computers come with one. You can use a desktop or a laptop (See below). We found that some of the least expensive Mics & Cams preformed very well with Our-FamilySpace.
Laptop A laptop with a Web cam and microphone. New laptop have the camera installed inside of the lid/monitor. Most laptops also have a built in microphone. We found that some of the least expensive Mics & Cams preformed very well with Our-FamilySpace.

To enable cookies for Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x and above:

1. Select Internet Options from the Tools menu.
2. Then go to Privacy (tabs).
3. Adjust preset settings so that cookies are enabled or click on Advanced to customise the settings.
4. Then click OK for each window and click Refresh on the browser menu when you return to the webpage

To enable cookies for Netscape 6.x and FireFox:

1. Select Preferences on the Edit menu.
2. Click on the arrow next to Advanced in the left hand menu and click Cookies.
3. Select Enable all cookies or Enable cookies for the originating website only.
4. Then click OK and click Reload on the browser menu when you return to the webpage.

To enable cookies for Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x:

1. Select "Internet Options" from the Tools menu.
2. Click on the "Security" tab.
3. Click "Custom Level" button.
4. Scroll down to the "Cookies" section.
5. Set "Allow cookies that are stored on your computer" to "Enable".
6. Set "Allow per-session cookies" to "Enable".
7. Click "OK".
